It was a strange summer for me, well not to the very extreme but just to a certain extent. Many things occurred but yet it seemed empty, at times there was a breeze blowing lightly, but then all of a sudden would freeze in mid place, and disintegrate into nothingness.  There was inspiration but no straight path, there was food but many stayed hungry, and there was life, but many died. And yet the earth kept spinning, it seemed to slow down for one second, and then that moment was gone, lost forever, never to be seen again by any man or woman in the billion upon trillions of years yet to come.

This summer seemed long and yet short, grass grew tall, and that didn’t change cause the owners of the property were too lazy to bother trying to keep their yard or anything else in their life for that matter in check.

Apples grew on apple trees, nothing else happened except for the odd person walking by who decided to pick one from the old tree that had been on that corner for years.

One apple fell to the ground at a time closer to fall then summer, and another was picked and whisked back to a family’s house, ready to make apple sauce.

The local grocery store received a truckload of candy, Halloween was a day in the month to come. The truck driver had a bit of difficulty backing into the narrow lot at the side of the store, due to the poor layout of the parking lot. There had been a few close calls before, involving terrible drivers with a weird nature of not respecting others on the road. You could call it road/parking lot rage, or just uneducated and idiotic behavior in a moving vehicle.

Leaves started to fall to the ground in a beautiful manner, the gold, purple, red, and green, brown colours making a leaf rainbow, every single day, during the end of summer, and the beginning of fall, the beginning of winter, the beginning of a new year, a new way of life and age, everyone became a few seconds older, and the earth kept turning and will, for many years to come, at least that is all I know of now.
